Short experimental video installation. The video was created for an exhibition about color, and my assigned color was “black”. For the concept, I decided to work with the idea of lucid mark making, and the building of layers to create an ebb and flow to the creative process. For the installation, the video was projected onto all the pieces of paper used to create the piece. Part of the Juried Student Show at VCU, 2006.

My name is Erin Zerbe, and I'm a multimedia artist working in video, photography, performance, and new media. My work specializes in human interactions and relationships with the body, tackling issues of body image and cultural perceptions of fatness. Currently I teach at Virginia Commonwealth University in the Kinetic Imaging and Art Foundations Departments. Artist. Professor. Troublemaker. I wear my titles with pride.
